The Leopard is a cult title from Alister Mackie, collaborating with art director Jamie Reid and editor Ted Stansfield. Limited edition.
First launched in 2018, the publication is a celebration of queer life in all of its creativity, sensuality and DIY glamour – from artists and authors to designers and directors. Under this banner, The Leopard showcases the work of brand-new talent alongside countercultural trailblazers from generations past.
The issue delves into cult cinema with an epic tribute to Brideshead Revisited, shot at Castle Howard and starring Lucian St Aubyn. The Leopard journeys to Rome to La Posta Vecchia, the former home of the Hearst family, where Jordan Barrett seamlessly and sensually plays the role of Helmut Berger. The magazine is also proud to present a beautiful portfolio of Salman Toor’s paintings, which depict a day in the life of his heroic characters.
Contributors to this issue include Alex Foxton, Francis Bacon, Kenneth Anger, Alasdair McLellan, Brett Lloyd, Malick Bodian, Ed Marler, Nikolai von Bismarck, and Jet Swan.
